Don't buy a lottery ticket.

To me, the only leader that gave me a little trouble was Green. And even he couldn't knock out half of my Pokemon.

Train a little more, and you'll be fine against all the leaders. They're really not that hard. If you want hard, go check out Pokemon Trainer Red. :p

Her Espeon is only 6 levels higher then all my Pokemon yet it keeps destroying me. Probably doesn't help that i have no Ghost attacks and only the one Dark attack lol

I always hated how mind numbingly easy these games are. My girlfriend kept talking on and on and on about it, so I got curious. I might try it out, but I doubt it. This same old method is starting to take its toll after hundreds of hours spent on it from my youth. I looked into the pokemon you can pick up from the first playthrough, and man. They suck in this game.

If I do pick it up, my party will look like this:

Crobat
Umbreon
Heracross
Lapras
Espeon
Rapidash

...Not much to choose from. In-fact, anything BUT this looks bad, aside from a lot of the obtainable water types... but water types have always been really good. I liked generation 3 the best. It was the most versatile I thought.

Do any of you think this game is actually worth the money?

I do, it's fun, it's like the first silver/gold only with several improvments.

In one part of the story, you get to disguise as a team rocket member, talking to people around the town while dressed like that is pretty funny.

Also I got a preorder discount, lolol

Oh and the pokewalker is pretty good too, there are some pokemon only unique to it and it's also a nice way to get items.

You should consider Dragonite, Charizard, Mewtwo is an obvious choice, Metagross and Tyranitar. They are very strong pokemon.

And yes i do think it is well worth the money. The formula for Pokemon might never change but why fix what isn't broken.

I think it's well worth the money.

I'm a die-hard Pokemon fan. I was sucked in at a young age. I was the typical little obsessed kid. I got the trading cards, some clothes, and all the Pokemon games I could find back in Generation I.

Considering I was pulled in at a young age, I've been compelled to buy every Pokemon game in the series I can get my hands on. I may be an obsessed fangirl (or idiot, if you prefer that term) but I can't break away from childhood memories and just suddenly stop playing Pokemon. I think I would go through withdrawals. :p

Anyway, Gold and Silver were big for me when I was little, and I believe Silver was my first Pokemon game. I still have this case with Ho-oh and Lugia on it. It's fun to carry around.

My point is, when I heard about the remakes, I flipped out and was dead-set on getting it. Kinda like Brawl. Super Smash Bros. was my first video game. I had to get Brawl.

So, if you want to get the remake, go ahead. I think it's biased of me to say: "Go get it, it's worth the money!" so, I won't post that.

I'll post this rant instead. :p

Pokemon Red was my first, I played it on a friends Gameboy Colour, I liked it and so I had to get it and a Gameboy Colour, then I had Yellow for one of my birthdays.

I've had atleast 1 of each generation.

Until the games stop being fun, I'm going to keep playing them, infact I go dig out a gameboy colour just to play an old pokemon game.

You are calm and reposed, let your beauty unfold

Me and my brother were big fans of Pokemon for the first and second generation, so we had every game from both of this. Then we just sort of... stopped lol. I mean, I bought Ruby, but I bought it abroad and about half-way through the game it just stopped saving, so I gave up. But then Fire Red came along, and I got that and loved it. But I only borrowed Pearl from a friend, so Soul Silver is the first Pokemon game I've bought for a while. And it really is worth it.

I just beat Dragon gym, because I restarted my game just after the 7th gym a few days ago because I was really bored with my party and couldn't be bothered going out to train weak but entertaining pokemon.

My ideal party would be Golem, Ninetales, Gengar, Tyranitar, Persian and Zapdos. Even if they're not the best match, they're my personal favourites, so it'd make me feel giddy for a while.

I've always bought both versions of a Pokemon game, personally. One, cause I like analyzing both versions, Two so I can trade over Pokemon I want. I'll have to do that this time around, since I need Kyogre before I can go after Rayquaza in my SoulSilver.

There's not much left to do in my SoulSilver...

I can challenge the Elite Four again, since I just beat Red. I caught Groundon easily, and the other legendaries you can get without events are captured (except Entei and Raikou).

I'm sad there's little left to do. I am however, happy there are more chapters for Pokemon Adventures coming out. I just read the Chapter Summary for Chapter 1 and 2 for HG / SS. I can't wait to start reading it myself. :D

Can someone tell me how to get to the house in the Lake of Rage to get the TM from there? I've tried looking for a map but I can only find one of the original Silver/Gold and it's changed since then, lolol.

Also any tips on other hard to reach areas would be nice :)
